Alternative R&B artist Toro Y Moi gets us all in our feels with the release of his emotional new song and visual, “You and I.”
Following “Girl Like You“, this is the singer/songwriter’s second release off his forthcoming album, Boo Boo.
The sparse, airy synth based ballad finds Chaz Bear giving fans an intimate recounting of the emotions he’s troubled with following a breakup. For the Harry Israelson-directed visuals he takes a retro approach with the filters. Sitting on top of a white piano in a small room, beams of light shine through a stained glass window, as he delivers the lovelorn lyrics.
“I don’t think it’s me, I don’t think it’s you / It’s the universe / I can feel a change coming over us and it’s gonna hurt,” he sings.
Toro Y Moi’s new album, Boo Boo, is set to be released on July 7 via Carpark Records.
