Let us introduce you to Lyssa, she wants you to feel her!
The emerging songstress from Houston, by way of Atlanta, recently released her single, “Who I Be,” and it’s a genuine bop. A stand-out from a trio of songs she released on SoundCloud, the track embraces Lyssa shedding the confines of everything that was keeping her from being her best-self.
“Either my panties getting tighter, or my ass is getting fatter / I choose the latter,” she sings while juxtaposing her sweet tone with a strong declaration of confidence. Lyssa continues, “I decided all this love shit don’t matter / I decided to let go of you.”
The 22-year-old singer uses “Who I Be” as a way to sing about always choosing herself first. Combining the song’s positive message with her mix of trap drums, soulful synths, and undeniable personality makes this song one you can’t get out of your head.
Lyssa’s upcoming EP, Feel Me 2 is due out later this year.
