Kelly Rowland and friends got in on the Halloween spirit a little early this year. On Sunday night (Oct. 29) the multi-hyphenated star hosted a special costume party at Poppy in Los Angeles with Roc Nation music executive Lenny S.
Styled by Ade Samules, Kelly rocked a hot black leather ensemble with knee-high stiletto boots, channelling Grace Jones from ’80s cult movie, Boomerang. Her husband, Tim Witherspoon joined her for a couples costume, dressing as Eddie Murphy.
The Halloween-inspired extravaganza drew an all-star guest list as well. Beyoncé and JAY-Z paid homage to two other musical icons, The Notorious B.I.G. and Lil’ Kim. Queen Bey replicated the Queen Bee’s attire in Missy Elliott’s “The Rain” video, wearing a white button-up shirt, black Chanel suspenders, shades, and a mole above her lips. Hov rocked a red leather jacket, black shades, cane, and Kangol cap.
Usher went full on Rick James with a long black wig, cheetah print shirt opened to show off his chest, along with ripped black leather pants. Other guests included Jhené Aiko, Sevyn Streeter, A$AP Rocky, 2 Chainz, Tyler Perry, Jessica Alba, DJ Cassidy, and more.
