London caught a wave with Miguel during his performance on BBC Radio 1Xtra’s “Live Lounge” this week.
The R&B maverick recently traveled to the U.K. in promotion of his forthcoming album, and to give fans an early taste of his new material.
Encouraging curiosity and hard work, the singer/songwriter belted out a revamped live version of his Travis Scott-assisted single “Sky Walker.”
“Good things come to those who wait up / But don’t wait to jump in too long,” he sings.
For his cover, Miguel selected “On My Mind” from buzzing songstress Jorja Smith. Supported by an electric guitar, the R&B crooner flexed his soothing vocals. “Now I’m growing wise to your sugar-coated lies,” he sang. “Nothing’s sweet about my misery.”
Preceded by the single “Sky Walker,” Miguel has also unleashed “Shockandawe” off his fourth studio album War & Leisure.
