Eric Bellinger re-ups on his “E-Mix” series with an infectious remake of Childish Gambino’s smash hit “Redbone.”
The melodic mastermind continues to find inspiration in the ’90s on his latest cover, with a sample and interpolations of SWV’s classic single “Rain.” Over the ethereal production by Ayo N Keyz, the R&B crooner stimulates his lady to be showered by her love.
“Now I’m going lower girl / I’m your favorite composer girl / YFS taking over (yea),” he sings. “I be hearing like so many melodies / I learned to run with control / Already been making history / They’re just now catching on,” he sings.
Welp! Eazy does it again!! Next month, Bellinger will hit the road on his “Malibu Acoustic Tour,” which will hit 6 west coast markets, opening Nov. 3 in Santa Barbara and closing Nov. 13 in Portland, OR. Tickets are available now on www.ericbellinger.com.
