Indiana Pacers star shooting guard Victor Oladipo is suiting up to release his debut EP, Songs For You, due out tomorrow (Oct. 6). Ahead of the release, the Maryland native has unleashed another single off the project, his collaboration with R&B singer-songwriter Eric Bellinger.
Together, V.O. and Eazy team up for the social media inspired slow jam “Unfollow.”
Emoting over the guitar-inflected production, Victor shares a cautionary tale as he recounts a toxic relationship, filled with infidelity, mistrust, and inappropriate DMs. Eventually the relationship grows so unhealthy that V.O. is forced to cross a line he cannot uncross: he unfollows his ex on social media.
Bellinger handles the smooth hook alerting his ex of the decision to remove her social posts from his daily life.
“I don’t want to see your face on my timeline no more / You deserve an unfollow,” he sings. “I don’t want my ex on my explore page.”
