Where else to get a relationship back on track than the City of Love?
Today, Austin Brown debuts the music video for his infectious ballad “Smile,” shot on location in Paris, France while he was recently there for a series of acoustic shows.
The monochromatic visual finds the singer/songwriter casually perusing through the city streets with his guitar on his back and performing in a park. The video adds cuts of Brown with his beautiful love interest and a moment when he performed for fans outside his show venue.
“I feel like every show you’re right here / See you in the corner of my eye,” he sings. “Girl you make me feel so good, I just want to live up on the stage / Let me sing to you, I love to see you smile.”
Sharing some insight into his inspiration for the song, Austin previously told ThisisRnB, “‘Smile’ is about coming to grips with a love lost, closure with hope of a reunion. There’s never a chance real love will be gone forever, but you can look back and be happy for the times you had. With a guitar and mic to tell the story.”
“Smile” is featured on Brown’s recent acoustic project Canyon Sessions, which he described as his ‘most personal work’ to date and inspired by heartbreaks, mistakes and reflections.
