Bobby V is set for a nostalgic comeback with the release of his new single “Lil Bit” featuring Snoop Dogg.
Longtime fans of the R&B crooner will instantly recognize the sound of the production as it is a reunion between Bobby and his longtime producer Tim Kelley of Tim & Bob. Released last month as the first single off the singer’s upcoming album Electrik, the silky smooth track finds Bobby V offering a romantic dedication to his love interest.
After the rush of Valentine’s related releases, the veteran singer/songwriter unveils a tropical-themed music video featuring sun-drenched breezy scenes of Bobby and various ladies on island sands. Additional scenes find him in New York City with another woman, both wrapped in furs while he performs in Times Square.
“Mona Lisa got nothin’ on you / Perfect picture no filter on you,” he sings. “Girl you know that my style is to please / You be trippin’ ’cause you just a tease.”
Snoop Dogg doesn’t appear in the video but Bobby and some ladies rap along to this verse while sitting in a white Bentley convertible. “My time was small, but through it all, she had a ball / She didn’t want a lot of (blank) / She just wanted a lil’ bit,” raps Uncle Snoop.
Due out March 9 on Sono Recording Group, Electrik is Bobby’s eighth studio album and the followup to 2016’s Hollywood Hearts. Check out the video above.
