In accompaniment to his brand new album, Man of the Woods, Justin Timberlake literally takes it to the woods in the music video for the album’s title track.
Directed by Paul Hunter, the humorous visual is an excursion around the forest with J.T. leading the way. It’s a walk, or better yet a dance, around nature, co-starring his wife Jessica Biel.
After a canoe ride together, the couple hits up a bar, does some dancing, and lives happily ever after. Meanwhile, J.T. plays several different woodsmen in the clip, which also features a very Timberlake take on line dancing.
“I brag about you to anyone outside,” he sings. “But I’m a man of the woods, it’s my pride / I’m sorry baby, you know I try / But I’m a man of the woods, it’s my pride.”
Biel’s participation makes sense given the song’s personal meaning. The track, and subsequently the album, was inspired by Justin and Jessica’s son Silas, whose name means “man of the woods.”
“Man of the Woods” follows visuals for “Filthy,” “Supplies,” and “Say Something.”
Next up, Timberlake will take the field at Sunday’s Super Bowl Halftime Show, where he will perform some of his biggest hits as well as new material.
