As if Kehlani’s “Honey” could get any better, but Tone Stith just showed us how! The rising young crooner has given fans a super surprise musical gift for Tone Tuesdays.
Hot off his two new hit videos for “Date” and “Let Me,” the singer/songwriter/producer borrows Lani’s soothing acoustic track for his own smooth rendition.
Keeping the track stripped back and simplistic, Tone adds some harmonious coos and adlibs filling the background under the guitar strings.
“All the pretty girls in the world, but I’m in this space with you,” he sings. “Colored out the lines / I came to find, my fire was fate with you / Heartache would stay with you / Fly great escapes with you.”
Kehlani praised the cover with some very supportive comments on Instagram. Posting an image of the cover on Soundcloud she wrote, “this is DISGUSTINGLY EPICLY SICKENINGLY amazing. Holyyyyyy.” Meanwhile on her IG Story she added, “THIS IS SO GOOD I COULD CRY! Wow Tone Stith you make me SICKKK.”
