Midas Hutch and MAAD connect.
The rising electro house producer returns with his first new single since his 2016 debut EP The High. Known for pairing dope vocalists with infectious synth and ’80s R&B/funk inspired production, the Amsterdam based producer teams up with New York native MAAD for the sexy “I’ll Go There.”
Set in a Nevada dusty desert location, the video follows MAAD and another female co-star as they execute a scheme to rob an unknown male lover. Wearing various fashionable disguises, MAAD dances around their getaway car at a service station, while scenes of her partner seducing their target are spliced in between her performance. When all is said and done, they celebrate together in a dimly lit motel room with cash all around.
“I don’t know what else to do, we’re still miles apart,” she sings. “You the rocket higher than the stars / I’ll go there, I’ll go there / Follow you, I’ll follow you now.”
This should be the sign of more new original music from Midas Hutch on the way. MAAD is still hot on the heels of her groovy single “New Religion,” which dropped in February.
