Toni Braxton defies the rain in the luxurious video for “Long As I Live.” The anthemic ballad is the latest single off the R&B icon’s brand new album Sex & Cigarettes.
As a heavy rain pours down over her white Rolls Royce, Braxton exits the car and begins to perform under a large white umbrella. Still a lavish beauty at 50 years old, the Braxton clan leader wears a glistening crystal studded one piece top with knee high white leather boots, and a full-length white mink vest. Her male co-star is seen in similar shots under a black umbrella.
Lamenting over her ex, Toni muses about their past relationship and everything she is missing. “Everybody’s talking about you and her together,” she sings. “How could you do that to me? / Everybody’s talking about all the wonderful things you do with her / Like you used to with me.”
After dancing for the cameras in a photo studio setting, Toni is joined by her sisters Tamar and Towanda who strike diva poses as her backup crew. Later, the songstress shows she still knows how to party in a choreographed dance sequence with a mystery man. But the love of her life is never back in her grasp as she deals with the longing of their ill-fated reunion.
