New York native Ginette Claudette returns today with the hypnotic new single “Twisted.”
The singer/songwriter teams up with platinum hitmakers The Stereotypes (Bruno Mars, Justin Bieber, Mary J. Blige) on the bass-heavy, sticky production as she warns a lover to watch his step.
“You keep talking circles, tell me what’s the motive,” sings Ginette. “‘Cause I’m starting to let go / Do you even notice? / If you’re gonna stay down / I need confirmation / And I need it right now ’cause I’m losing my patience.”
Speaking about the new single and collaborating with The Stereotypes, Claudette says: “When friends who love music get in a room together, songs like this happen. ‘Twisted’ has such an attitude about it that I think listeners will vibe to. Hope you all love it as much as I do! We’re just getting warmed up.”
Ginette Claudette released her independent debut album, Tainted Emotions in 2014. The LP spawned the single “Hold Me Touch Me Love Me” and the Rico Love-assisted “Better Love.” She is currently working on her new album, which is leaning more into her R&B roots and making bolder statements.
