New Video: Corey Mekell feat. Eric Bellinger – If

By

Just days after debuting the single, rising Los Angeles singer/songwriter Corey Mekell delivers the official music video for his Eric Bellinger-assisted single “If.”

Centered around the concept of forgiveness, the visual opens with Corey face-to-face with his lady while Eazy delivers the melodic hook. “If I gave you all my lovin’ would you stay?” sings Bellinger. “If I apologize would you still walk away? / If I told you I would do my best to change? / If I got my shit together would you still be over me?”

Cory then kicks off his first verse making some promises to treat her better, as she quietly listens. “How about a new bag for your collection, yea that’s easy,” he sings. “Giving you the rodeo on Rodeo, yea that’s easy.”

After the fellas perform some smooth moves together in a white studio space, they split up the second verse with Bellinger opening up. “I know I did you wrong, but God damn you don’t get a n***a back like that,” he sings. Corey continues, “Excuse me, if I caused a little pain / It’s okay I take the blame / I thought that you could stand the rain?”

“If” is the lead single off Corey’s forthcoming EP, which is due out in May. Check out the video above.
