Courtlin Jabrae turns memories into gold. The singer/songwriter/rapper returns with the first follow-up to his late 2017 EP Twenty Six in the form of the smoothed out “Gold Rings.” The vibey record arrives via his deal with eOne Music and is ready for your summer ride-out playlists.
“Gold rings hanging out the window / Turned a Grand Am into a Benzo,” he sings. “Oh girl that light make your skin glow / Snap your selfie then give me your info.”
Jabrae reflects on his youth and upbringing as the inspiration for the melodic tune.
“When I made ‘Gold Rings’ I was thinking back to when me and my parents use to drive around in a Grand Am,” he explains. “Although we were struggling, they were still good times. Now we really are driving around in a Benz making new memories.”
Based in Carbondale, IL, Courtlin Jabrae is not a newcomer to the music business, he has previously written for the likes of Bryson Tiller, Trey Songz, Gucci Mane, and T-Pain, among others.
