The end of summer just got hotter. Rising R&B songstress Shonte Renee goes into beast mode as she delivers a sizzling, summery video for her boastful song “Savage.”
The first lady of Oomp Camp graces the screen with sexual poses and flirtatious charm in the visual which finds her in various locations. Shonte serves confidence in different desert scenes, enjoys some time off poolside with her girls, and displays her physical assets in a high-rise apartment.
Over the reverberating production, Renee sings with a strong bravado about being comfortable in her skin and unafraid to fault her curvaceous physique.
“Not a sin to show skin, get up your heart rate,” she boasts to other females that might question her style. “Why you study judging me your n***a watchin / Get like me so your n***a won’t be hoppin … ‘Cause baby I’ma savage you don’t know / ‘Cause baby I’ma bad bitch not a hoe.”
“Savage” is featured on Shonte Renee’s debut EP The Introduction, which included the T-Pain assisted single “Want This.” This past spring, the Atlanta native released the provocative follow-up, an 8-track EP titled Sex Symbol. Working alongside producer DJ Montay, the singer/songwriter is prepping for her next project, which is coming soon.
