Sonder, the popular underground trio led by breakout R&B star Brent Faiyaz, makes a surprise return with the brand new single “What You Heard.”
Producers Atu & Dpat design a simplistic acoustic based track, ideal for reflection. Faiyaz revels in memories of passion with a lover, but at the same time questions their relationship.
“You be wildin’ / I be wildin’ too,” he sings. “But not like you / Shit, maybe a little like you / Maybe we ain’t so different / Maybe I be trippin…too.”
Sonder’s last project was 2017s Into EP, which featured their standout single “Too Fast.”
