Big Boi & Sleepy Brown have teamed with CeeLo Green for an energetic new single titled “Intentions.” The Atlanta legends have collaborated on previous songs, but the most notable is their mega hit “The Way You Move.” Produced by Atlanta legends Organized Noize, the song has a retro feel lined with a funky bass line that produces a smooth groove.
In his verse, Big Boi references TLC’s “Waterfalls” which is fitting considering CeeLo sang background on the mammoth hit. CeeLo Green and Sleepy Brown’s voices have been sorely missed in recent years, but this song reminds the listener that they possess two of the most unique voices in R&B.
The song talks about spotting the “right one” while out on the town and doing any and everything to get her attention. Sadly by the end of the night, the protagonist loses track of the woman he has every “intention” to take home and satisfy. They are on a mission to find her before the night ends.
“Intentions” serves as the lead single from Big Boi & Sleepy Brown’s upcoming joint album, “Big Sleepover” hitting shelves soon.
