R&B songstress H.E.R. is back with another banger and we can guarantee that it’s all you’ll be listening to over the next few weeks. Calling on Cali rapper YG, the two delivered the hot new single “Slide” and it’s been well worth the wait.
The track, which was debuted during her inaugural Lights On Festival earlier this month, pays homage to the Bay Area and its style of music, so it was only fitting to call on YG to add a fire verse. Combining smooth sounding instrumentals with H.E.R.‘s sultry vocals and the rapper’s raunchy lyrics, there’s no denying that the new single has the ability to top the charts this season.
“Slide” arrives after last month’s 19-track LP “I Used To Know Her,” which served as a holdover until the release of her forthcoming debut album. And if this release and the single “Something Keeps Pulling Me Back” featured on the aforementioned LP, are what we have to look forward to on the new album, we hope she delivers very, very soon.
