What You May Have Missed

By

Over the recent years, the release of R&B music has steered away from only being released on certain days of the week. Since there’s always something new coming out or some breaking news that hits the web, we know it’s sometime difficult to stay updated all things R&B — even on your days off over the weekend.

Although we’re always here to give you day-by-day updates, we figured giving you a recap of some of the best R&B tracks and moments from weekend’s past (and sometimes a little before) at the top of each week is a great way for you to hear all the good stuff in one place.

Here’s what you may have missed:

K. Michelle revisited her roots with the Yung Miami and Kash Doll featured “Supahood.”

Talk that sh*t, K! After a brief hiatus, K. Michelle is back and she’s brought with her a new “hood” anthem. Featuring rappers Yung Miami of City Girls and Detroit native Kash Doll, the trio lay down why having a “supahood” man is the way to go.  The track is the first single from her upcoming album, All Monsters Are Human.

Mariah Carey released the funky new single, “In The Mix.”

“Yayyyy us!” We got a new MC track and if you love it, you’ll be able to hear a portion of it every single Tuesday on ABC. Serving as the theme song to the new “Black-ish” spin-off  “Mixed-ish” starring Tracee Ellis Ross, the songbird and her adorable twins give us iconic vibes on the mic. Tune into the show this Tuesday, September 24 at 9 p.m.

Lucky Daye surprised fans with a new single titled “Buying Time.”

If last week’s release of the “Love You Too Much” video wasn’t enough for Lucky Daye fans, then you’ll find solace in knowing he’s released a brand new track titled “Buying Time.” Discussing the love that he has for his lady and how he will shower her with the best, the singer reminds us with every track he releases that good men still exist.

Eric Bellinger dropped off another track to end summer on a high note.

As he gears up for the release of his upcoming album Saved By The Bellinger on September 27, Eric Bellinger is gifting fans with a new track every week. His latest offering, “Champagne,” features Wale and Guapdad 4000 and rounded out the summer season with a bang.

Jacquees holds tight to his self-proclaimed title as the “King of R&B” with his new single “Verify.”

On the search for that “blue check” in his love life, Jacquees has teamed up with hometown rappers Young Thug and Gunna to deliver his new single “Verfiy.” The song serves as a follow-up to las month’s “Hot For Me” and will be featured on his upcoming sophomore album Round II.
