Known as one of the most exciting R&B acts of this generation, Teyana Taylor takes us into the making of her biggest show yet, House of Petunia. Taylor’s documentary arrives apart of a new Red Bull series, titled, Assembly Required.
Premiering tonight (Thursday, Feb.20), the episode captures all of the behind the scenes development of her 2019 Red Bull Music Festival performance. Partnering with the energy drink last year, Teyana Taylor took the extravagant stage show on the road hitting major markets like Chicago, Atlanta and New York.
Tonight, fans are granted a front-row seat to the inner workings of Teyana’s creative process as she conceptualizes and prepares her dream show. Raw and unfiltered, she allows cameras to capture every step of this painstaking process. From hours of tireless training to meltdowns, fans see Taylor working alongside a team of talented creatives, producers, stylists, choreographers and more.
“I’m starting my own house. It’s gonna be called House of Petunia. It’s all my visions brought to life,” she explains in the film. “The House of Petunia will be my most ambitious show to date. I’m extremely nervous because the show means a lot to me.”
The premiere features guest appearances by Usher, Method Man, Fabolous and Taylor’s husband Iman Shumpert. Assembly Required: Teyana Taylor’s House of Petunia premieres Feb.20 on Red Bull TV and YouTube.
