Hiding behind her star power to complete interviews, photoshoots and recording, Tink keeps buried the depression, betrayal and negative emotions she endures daily as her love interest is consistently unfaithful. Putting on a brave face for the public eye, the songstress must make a choice that will have a lasting effect on her relationship. The video tells a story that many relationships experience regularly.
Hopeless Romantic serves as the follow-up to Tink’s 2019 album, Voicemails (EMPIRE), which was her first project as an indie artist. The new album is based on Tink’s rollercoaster relationship history. Using personal experiences, she tells the stories of dating in your 20s, disappointment, thrills, embarrassment, pride and exploring the different feelings of love.
