Dreamville’s songbird Ari Lennox delivered an awesome three-track remix collection for Shea Butter Baby. The project featured the reconstruction of fan-favorite songs “BMO,” “I Been” and “Facetime.” Each track offers a unique take on the original, while still maintaining Lennox’s soulful vibe. The production is courtesy of J. Cole, Craig Brockman, Omen, Ron Gilmore and Elite.
For the remix, the DMV singer/songwriter enlists a trio of unique artists in stellar crooner Durand Bernarr, rapper Smino and the popular cross-genre Doja Cat. For those unfamiliar, Shea Butter Baby is Lennox’s debut album which achieved a widespread recognition as one of 2019 top albums. The 12-track original also includes a guest feature from labelmate JID.
While self-quarantining, Ari Lennox has been very interactive with fans via Instagram Live. Fans hope the accomplished singer will follow in the footsteps of many other artists and perform an in-home concert.
