The R&B general, Tank, has swept in to save the day with the release of his new project While You Wait. One of the few bright sides of this corona pandemic has been the level of creativity and sense of bonding that the art’s community has provided. Artists have been performing virtual duets, giving in-home concerts, and hosting nightly jam sessions. Tank has now up the ante by releasing a six- song set to tide fans over during these uncertain times.
The multi-hyphenate star wrote, produced and performed the EP by himself. The set is a real treat for his fans as each song is a highlight of Tank’s smooth, soulful vocals accompanied solely by piano. The set’s single “Perfect” is a standout track. The song celebrates the imperfections that make each woman unique. The song fits beautifully into Tank’s celebrated discography.
When discussing the album/single, Tank stated “When I decided to do this EP, I wanted to give my fans something different and special, given the times we’re in. Just my piano and me. ‘Perfect’ honors all things that make a grown man happy with his woman. Even with their perceived flaws…You’re perfect for me.”
