With a nationwide call to stay at home due to Coronavirus, here’s three words we all probably miss: “On The Way.” That’s the title of the latest single from R&B newcomer Nezi. The Brooklyn based talent shines in “On The Way,” taking control of her dating life, and letting her love interest know he’s not the one running the show.
Nezi’s silky vocals easily complement the trap-laced, melodic beat. The singer, songwriter exerts her lyrics in an assertive, yet sweet tone.
She sings: “I’m captivated, I’m heading over, ow you got me craving, I’m craving / boy your loving I’m anticipating / so you don’t have to wait, promise I won’t be late / but don’t you worry cause I’m on the way, I’m on the way.”
Nezi moved to New York to take her music career to the next level. She draws inspiration from R&B greats Brandy, Whitney Houston, and Monica to name a few. Originally from Chicago, she fell in love with music at the age of 6 while growing up on the South Side.
