Hitmakers Davis Chris & Mr. Foster are bringing the heat on their new song “Pretend.” The record is a collaboration with rising R&B singer Athena Poulous, which is featured on their brand new album entitled 50/50. The album is distributed via independent giant EMPIRE, and features collaborations with over 20 brilliant artists. For those not in the know, Davis Chris & Mr. Foster have crafted hits for an array of artists that include: Day26, Yo Gotti, Iggy Azalea, Boosie Badazz, Young Dolph, and Project Pat.
The song is perfect for the summer. The chill production and Athena’s angelic vocals are perfectly paired as she reflects on the uncertain nature of her relationship. “I don’t want to play with you every single night/Got me upside down don’t know my left from my right/I be in my feelings all alone at night/ Then I just come back and pretend that it’s all right,” she sings on the hook. This just might be an anthem for women everywhere.
