To celebrate the release of their new album, Ungodly Hour, Chloe x Halle have released the video for their new single, “Forgive Me.” The video is the third visual from the album. The “Forgive Me” video was preceded by visuals for prior singles “Catch Up” and the viral dance hit “Do It.”
“Don’t ever ask for permission, ask for forgiveness” Chloe declares at the top of the video. After, seeing this video they definitely don’t need our forgiveness. Instead, they need our praise because the ladies have delivered another knockout video. Aesthetically, the video is within the same realm of “Do It.” However, this one finds the ladies embracing their darker side. Dressed in avant-garde black ensembles, the ladies employ dazzling lighting and CGI effects throughout the video. With all the talk about who should play Marvel characters, I’d like to suggest Chloe x Halle. The video shows them as strong, powerful women who enact revenge on a unfaithful lover.
