ThisIsRnB had the pleasure of an exclusive interview with GRAMMY-nominated, multi-Stellar Award winner, author and philanthropist, Jonathan McReynolds. McReynolds explains the meaning behind his powerful songs ‘People’ and ‘Movin’ On.’ “This EP (People) is more proof of God’s sovereignty. He gave me songs for our predicament before we could ever imagine such craziness. This is a collection of songs that are way too relevant – a soundtrack for getting free during lockdown,” shares McReynolds.
McReynolds discussed his nonprofit foundation, Elihu Nation, which has recently awarded over $30k in scholarships to high school and college students. He gives the rundown on ‘Monday Causal’ and lets his mom read some of his dm’s. McReynolds also played our creative game “Write The Hook.” He shared his go-to r&b song to get a girl’s attention in high school. Let’s just say, you can never go wrong with the Boyz II Men’s classic, “Water Runs Dry.”
Jonathan McReynolds’ new EP PEOPLE is now streaming everywhere. Check out JonathanMcReynolds.com to learn more about his work and the wonderful impact he is making.

This is such an amazing article! I believe that Jonathan McReynolds is one of the purest vessels in the industry today! I love his reverence in honoring God in his gifts and especially how he carries himself! He doesn’t get caught up in what others are doing and how they are performing. He keeps his relationship with the Lord during his lives, interviews or wherever God plants him 100%! Such humility, respect & love for God & People! I hv met him several times and he is always the same! I love his music and is voice is angelic, pure and simply amazing! God surely has his hands on him for all the world to see – He is mine!!! Blessings Beloved!
