Mult-talented singer/songwriter and producer, Talib Matin is a triple threat. With his debut EP Home, he focuses on the sensual nature of melodic sounds underscored with descriptive metaphors that lead to a urban twist.
The West Atlanta native’s journey began at the age of 15 when he joined a group called “Xciety”. During this time, his passion and purpose started to align and has taken him to higher heights in the industry. He credits influences from veterans J.Cole and Wiz Khalifa, which contribute to his crossover of genres 90’s R&B/hip-hop and alternative sound. His infectious R&B melodies are what is most prominent in his single ‘Essence.”
ThisIsRnB Unfolded sat down for an invigorating conversation with Matin where he discussed his creative processes, finding his worth as a person/artist, other industry influences; Kendrick Lamar, Future, Blakk Soul. See what he has to say about philanthropist and phenom LeBron James and so much more.
When it comes to musical collaborations, Matin says “ he has to vibe with someone in order to collaborate.”
