Exclusive Interview: ThisIsRnB-x-Tamela Mann, the Powerhouse in Gospel

The multi-talented super artist is known for her work on the meg-hit and highly successful Tyler Perry’s “Madea” plays, films, and television show “Meet The Browns” and is reprising her role as “Cora” on the show “Assisted Living.” As if her plate wasn’t full enough, Mann launched her own athleisure apparel line (The Tamela Mann Collection), and has added songwriter to her list of accomplishments

During our exclusive interview, Mann delves deep within and is extremely open, transparent and personal as she shares about her new album, “Overcomer” the meaning behind it, the struggles she faced leading up to the album, her evolution and life changes and so much more. Mann has shared about her album ” I poured my experiences into the lyrics putting my heart and soul into the words on this album. It’s me looking into my life and the things I was dealing with, trying to learn from those things, and doing what I can to overcome.”

The 11 track album features prominent gospel and music artists such as Kirk Franklin, Todd Dulaney, Wyclef Jean, The Fellas and is executive produced by Mann and husband music producer, NAACP Image Award winning Actor/Comedian, David Mann.

You can feel pain, passion and power behind every lyric it in her music, and the words she speaks. Mann is pressing towards the mark through her challenges, conquering and overcoming.
