Sol Blume 2022 R&B and Soul Music Weekend Festival Was A Huge Success

By

Sacramento’s largest festival dedicated to R&B and soul music successfully kicked off the third Sol Blume at Discovery Park this past weekend while welcoming 40,000 total attendees from across the globe.

The Sol Blume festival once again emphasized positivity, diversity, and inclusivity bringing together local residents and travelers alike to gather together and enjoy incredible music performances featuring more than 40 of today’s most sought-after R&B, soul, and hip-hop artists. Headlined by all-female music performers including Jazmine Sullivan, Jorja Smith, Jhené Aiko, and Summer Walker, and featured other music acts like Lucky Daye, Blxst, Alina Baraz, Thundercat, SIR, DVSN, Simino, Tinashe, Majid Jordan and so many more including Sacramento’s own Victoria Monét and  Yelly.

Over a two-day festival, the temperature hovered in the mid-’80s, and the winds blew through the crowds of festival-goers, creating the perfect atmosphere for an impressive concert featuring R&B and Hip-hop artists together. While the artists’ performances were incredible, the props and stages displayed colorful designs and were visually appealing.

In addition to the festival itself being very family-friendly, the festival staff and security were especially attentive to attendees’ providing ice-cold bottles of water to anyone in need.

There was a large variety of local vendors with offerings from funnel cake to soul food. The festival also offered wellness experiences, immersive art activations, and plenty of activities for children. Overall, it was a peaceful and extremely enjoyable event.

Sol Blume Festival organizers are already gearing up for 2023, and we are anticipating the big announcement.
