ThisRnB is catching you up with some R&B releases What You May Have Missed.

Ari Lennox drops new album:

Ari Lennox is applying more pressure and delivering more soul with her new album, “age/sex/location,” which dropped Friday, Sept. 9.

The 12-track album, which is a follow up sophomore album from the R&B songstress debut album, “Shea Butter Baby,” was released under Dreamville / Interscope Records, features heavy-hitters such as  Lucky Daye, Summer Walker, and Chlöe Bailey.

“Queen Space” is all about realizing it’s a privilege to get her love. You should be grateful and don’t waste her time. Lennox’s voice is soulful and the tracks are a good mixture of bop and chill.

In the track, “No Settling” Lennox says she is “I ain’t waiting on somebody who ain’t waiting up for me,” meaning she refuses to settle for anything-even love.

Dreamville’s lable head, J. Cole, took to the internet to compare the album to Alicia Key’s debut album, “Songs in A Minor” which debuted in 2001.

Bryson Tiller switches it up with new single, “Outside”

Bryson Tiller is giving his fans a twist with his new single, “Outside,” which is the perfect mixture of R&B and hip hop.

Tiller samples “Wait (The Whisper Song)” but does it the Bryson Tiller way and puts his catchy lyrics and his own spin on it. You can still dance and bounce to the beat, but it does have a R&B feel to it.

“Thumbin’ through the ‘Gram, tryna figure out where you been. All he need to know is that you’re outside.”

Tiller released his last album, “Anniversary” during the pandemic. Tiller said his fans can expect the “unexpected from,” in an interview with RollingStone.
“‘Outside’ is the polar opposite of what everyone is used to hearing from me,” Tiller added in a statement to RollingStone. “Normally, we would release a song intended to put people deep in their feelings, but this song is anti-feels.”

Sevyn Streeter pays homage to Michael Jordan with new single, “23”:

Sevyn Streeter is shooting her shot with her new single “23.”
