Big Boy, 18, Chulo, 17, Tyvas, 16, and Rocco, 12, meet the sons of Wanyá Morris of the legendary R&B group Boyz II Men, Mary J. Blige’s first act under her new label, and the new quartet reviving the R&B boy band genre as Wanmor with the red-hot debut single, “Every Pretty Girl In The City,” out now, making their formal introduction in the release of their anxiously anticipated self-titled debut EP on Beautiful Life Productions/300 Entertainment.
“When we heard WanMor sing, we knew we could stop looking,” Mary told Vibe Magazine last September. “They are IT! Supporting and cultivating true R&B talent is why I started Beautiful Life Productions, and I couldn’t be more proud to do this with these young men.”
300 CEO Kevin Liles says, “WanMor is what we have been missing in music. There’s no one out like them. They’re bringing the superstar R&B group back. R&B is not dead.
Alongside “Every Pretty Girl In The City,” the #1 most added record on Urban Radio, the new project introduces seven new songs, including the group’s latest single, “Mine.” Additionally, the EP blends head-nodding bass lines and throwback production with laidback crooning, impressive vocal runs, and fiery falsetto.
“Wanmor” features a guest appearance by King Combs, courtesy of Bad Boy Records, who brings his inherited playboy rhymes and swagger to the “Every Pretty Girl In The City” remix.
A debut five years in the making as the real-life brothers from South Jersey spent the time honing their sound, stunning textures, and rich harmony while doing large-scale performances across the country. So with big shoes to feel and a legacy to live up to, this EP showcases their incredible talents individually and together. They explained:
“We created this EP so y’all can take a peek into our musical minds individually and as a group. With this project, we just wanted to bring the love, fun, and excitement back.”
