R&B lovers have been graced with so much new music in the past few weeks and even more was dropped this past weekend, with more music on the way. Here are some new R&B releases you may have missed.
Ruben Studdard inks a new record deal with SRG/ILS Group, working on a new album.
Former American Idol winner and R&B singer Ruben Studdard has inked a new deal with The SRG/ILS Group. Studdard is currently working on a new album, which is being produced by Balewa Muhammad. Studdard has not released new music since 2014.
In a press release, Studdard says, “I am truly excited to join a label that is always looking out for their artists and making sure that whatever they release, its great music that is impactful to the culture. After partnering with veteran songwriter and producer, Balewa Muhammad and Executive Producer, Walter W. Millsap, I just knew that finding the right home for me was key and I am happy to be here, and I am ready to rock and roll with Claude Villani and the entire SRG/ILS team!”
Studdard’s label mates include musical legends such as Chaka Khan, Brian McKnight, Angie Stone, and Erica Campbell, among many others.
Daniel Caesar released his single, “Valentina.”. The song is about trying to catch the attention of a young lady, but the whole problem is that she has a man already.
“I know it’s late / And I know you got a man / Please understand, baby, he won’t / Love you like I do.”
The beat definitely gives trap-soul. Caesar’s voice is captivating. He almost sings in a falsetto voice most of the time, but the track sounds strong.
“Valentina” will be on Caesar’s album, “Never Enough,” which will be released Friday, April 7.

Omarion talks love making, vibes on his new single “Big Vibez”
Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter and superstar, Omarion released his single “Big Vibez,” last week.
The single has a nice beat to it and can easily be played in the car, living room, or club/lounge. He talks about a lady he wants to get to know and make love to. Omarion sings sensually on the track. He also gives her compliments for just being her.
“Girl, you mine so, big vibe/Love how your skin glow, big vibe (Aye)/You’re somethin’ special, big vibe/I love how the time flows when we align souls/Girl, you mine so, big vibe.”
The track is the debut single from his upcoming album, “Full Circle Sonic Book One,” which will be released next month.

British R&B trio Flo collabs with Missey Elliot for single, “Fly Girl”
British R&B FLO partnered with iconic producer Missy Elliott to release a single. “Fly Girl,” last month, The single features a verse from Elliott, and the chorus samples Elliot’s hit song, “Work It,” in the chorus.
“If you’re a fly girl/ Get your nails done/Get a pedicure/Get your hair did.”
The song will definitely have you dancing. The song is all about girl power, confidence, and looking and feeling your best. This could potentially be an anthem for the ladies.
“Fly Girls,” is FLO’s second release for this year. The trio dropped their debut EP “The Lead,” last year. You can catch the British R&B singers on a North American tour this month.
