D-Nice’s Club Quarantine Live Residency at the Kennedy Center DC | October 6-8

Multi-talented artist, DJ, photographer, and Kennedy Center Hip Hop Culture Council Member D-Nice, who became the first hip-hop artist to headline and sell out the Kennedy Center Opera House in 2022, returns with Club Quarantine Live. The revolutionary virtual club that safely brought millions together during the pandemic will come offline again as an expanded special three-day celebration of music, life, love, laughter, and community with the Club Quarantine Live Residency. The Club Quarantine Residency continues to amplify D-Nice’s role as a cultural curator and community catalyst while uplifting his ongoing partnership with the Center.

“The lineup we’ve prepared is nothing short of breathtaking. This opportunity has left me overflowing with emotions, and I can hardly contain my excitement for the Club Quarantine Live Residency at the Kennedy Center and the phenomenal community of artists that will be participating as part of it,” says D-Nice. “It is a special curation encompassing the incredible sounds of hip-hop, R&B, gospel, soca, jazz, and comedy. The three-day celebration kicks off on October 6 with CQ Comedy Showcase featuring acclaimed comedians: actor, director, executive producer, and writer Chris Spencer; celebrated actor and Saturday Night Live co-head writer and co-anchor of SNL’s iconic “Weekend Update” Michael Che; comedian, actress, and Daytime Emmy Award®–winning talk show host Sherri Shepherd; actor and producer Flex Alexander and more. 

For the creative black tie affair Club Quarantine Live with D-Nice on October 7, guest artists will include Grammy®–nominated artist and hip hop icon MC Lyte; Grammy®–nominated and Billboard Award–winning R&B singer-songwriter Kem; BET Soul Train Music Award and Grammy Award®–winning R&B vocalist Muni Long; Trinidadian “King of Soca” and multi award–winning artist, producer, and songwriter Machel Montano; platinum–selling rapper, songwriter, and member of hip hop group The LOX, Jadakiss; legendary hip hop duo Camp Lo; Vin Rock of Grammy®–award-winning hip hop group Naughty by Nature; acclaimed R&B singer and ASCAP Songwriter of the Year Tracie Spencer; Grammy®–nominated singer-songwriter and R&B sensation Shanice; and jazz harmonicist Frédéric Yonnet. Chris Spencer will host the evening while Igmar Thomas and his Revive Big Band will provide orchestral accompaniment.

On October 8, CQ Praise & Worship, a soul-stirring afternoon of gospel music, will include Dove Award and Grammy Award® winner Hezekiah Walker; Dove Award and Stellar Award-winning artist Anthony Brown and group therAPy; Grammy®, Dove and Stellar Award-nominated Gospel Artist Tim Bowman Jr, Maranda Curtis & Faith City Music; Dove Award and Grammy Award® winner Mali Music; and Grammy Award®–winning musician and songwriter Jules Juda; ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Award winner and Grammy® nominee J.J. Hairston; Dove Award–winning contemporary gospel group Virtue; and gospel artist Charles Jenkins.
