Lindsey Webster has found the perfect voice to join her on “Best In Me,” a smooth new single from her latest album, Music In Me—and that voice belongs to Grammy Award-winning R&B favorite Anthony Hamilton.
Known for blending R&B, neo-soul, jazz and pop, Webster brings a sophisticated warmth to the track, while Hamilton adds his unmistakable Southern soul. Together, the two create an easy, heartfelt chemistry that makes “Best In Me” feel both timeless and deeply personal.
Interestingly, the collaboration almost never happened. Webster and Hamilton originally planned to record a different song together, but when those plans fell through, the pair later reconnected at a fundraising event in Charlotte. Hamilton suggested they create something of their own. That conversation ultimately led to “Best In Me.”
Co-written by Webster, Hamilton, Keith Slattery, Lorenzo Johnson and Rob Chiarelli, the song celebrates the kind of love that brings out the best in us. Webster’s expressive vocals and Hamilton’s rich delivery meet beautifully over a smooth, soulful production.
The accompanying video was filmed in Hamilton’s hometown of Charlotte, adding another personal touch to the collaboration.
Webster shared about the video and working with Hamilton “was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for me. I have been a fan since the beginning. He’s always made music that sits in the soul and I love that about him. It was also fun to visit Charlotte, Anthony’s hometown, to shoot the video. We stumbled upon this colorful artwork painted on the side of an industrial building for the outdoor shots. The rest we shot in a studio in Charlotte.”
“Best In Me” is featured on Music In Me, Webster’s deeply personal album exploring love, loss and connection. The project also features a collaboration with Stokley.
