London is officially getting a massive piece of hip-hop history this week.
Following a successful kickoff in Camden, the global JAY-Z 30 celebration is launching a brand-new, immersive pop-up experience right in the middle of Trafalgar Square. Starting tomorrow, 1 September, music fans can step directly into the world of one of rap’s most legendary figures.
The five-day installation celebrates JAY-Z’s iconic 30-year career, the 25th anniversary of his masterpiece album The Blueprint, and his highly anticipated, back-to-back shows at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on 4 and 5 September.
Step Back Into 2001
If you are a fan of The Blueprint, this setup is designed specifically for you. The large-scale installation features a wall of retro, era-specific televisions screening classic music videos, legendary performances, and period programming. It’s a literal time machine built to transport audiences straight back to the cultural landscape of 2001.
Exclusive, Limited-Edition Merch Drops
Beyond the visuals, the pop-up serves as a temporary storefront for some incredibly rare collectibles. Visitors will have the exclusive opportunity to explore and shop a curated selection of limited-edition merchandise created specifically for this London milestone.
Among the highlights is a special collaboration celebrating Armand de Brignac and Assouline’s The Book of HOV: A Tribute to JAY-Z. If you want to take a piece of the experience home, this is your only chance to grab these specific items.
The Global Tour Continues
The Trafalgar Square activation marks the next official chapter of JAY-Z 30, following its massive opening run in New York. From here, the celebration will head over to Paris (coinciding with his 10 September show) before crossing back over the Atlantic to wrap up in Los Angeles this October.
WHEN: 1-5 September; 11:00–19:00
