Chrisette Michele is prepping her return to music, and during her recent taping of “Verses & Flow” the songbird spoke briefly with HipHollywood about her new album and her thoughts on the current state of R&B. She confessed that during her time away from music she traveled and fell in love. While she remained tight lipped about her new man – only saying he was a Broadway actor, she did say that the relationship helped inspire her upcoming album Better.
If you want to know how Chrisette feels about R&B at the moment she says, “It still lives, and “Better” is just my answer to the current state of R&B.” She continued to share insight into her inspiration for the new album saying, “I’ve been through a lot over the past couple of years, and this album is just me saying I’m ‘better’ than I’ve ever been.”
