One of the most-talked-about moments at the MTV VMAs was not aired on the telecast. While the category of Best Hip-Hop Video was being presented, cameras captured Rihanna as she went up to embrace former boyfriend Chris Brown with a kiss on the cheek and a hug. She also greeted Bu Thiam, VP of A&R at Def Jam, who is now co-managing Chris, before patting a blonde Breezy on the head as she walked away.
Rihanna told Oprah that she still has love for Chris, but they are not romantically involved. “He’s in a relationship of his own,” she said. “I’m single but we have maintained a very close friendship.”
