President Barack Obama addressed the troops and attendees at The Commander-In-Chief Ball, as his first stop on Monday night. Following his speech, Obama introduced the much-anticipated first appearance of First Lady Michelle Obama, and the couple shared their first dance of the night. Fellow Chicago native, Jennifer Hudson, serenaded Barack and Michelle with a moving rendition of Al Green’s “Let’s Stay Together.” Specially selected male and female armed forces sergeants were then introduced and allowed to dance with the President and First Lady.

Catch the touching moment below…

Fast forward to the 9 minute mark for the dance.
