The trouble continues for R&B superstar Chris Brown, who can’t seem to catch a break from incidents and lawsuits. After being accused of assaulting a clubgoer over the weekend, the R&B singer has been charged with criminal hit-and-run.
According to TMZ, the L.A. City Attorney has filed two criminal charges against Brown stemming from a minor accident last month where he rear-ended a Mercedes in his Range Rover. He allegedly refused to hand over his driver’s license number and gave fake insurance info before leaving the scene.
The City Attorney has charged him with hit-and-run for leaving the scene without exchanging proper information. He’s also been charged with the crime of driving without a valid license. Each offense is punishable by a maximum of six months in jail.
If the L.A. County D.A. determines the new charges to be a probation violation in his Rihanna assault case, the judge could violate his probation and worst case, sentence him to four years behind bars.
