Falling in line with her other musical counterparts such as Rihanna and Mary J. Blige, Jennifer Hudson is joining in on building up her creativity.

While this past weekend saw the powerhouse give an exceptional performance of the new single “Neverland” at the Tony Awards, it was also revealed that the singer would be responsible for a full concept album for the upcoming Broadway musical, Finding Neverland.
Spearheaded by industry veteran Harvey Weinstein, the new album will see Jennifer assist in the album and could possibly gain input from Taylor Swift and Alicia Keys.
Although J. Hud hasn’t been casted to appear in the musical, Weinstein had this to say to Deadline about the comments made in reference to the singer being “out of place”:
“When people make these kinds of assertions, they’re the ones making sure stars won’t appear on Broadway. We’re taking a front row seat.”
The Broadway musical is set to debut Spring 2015.
