Some artists fly under the radar for too long, this might be the case for California singer-songwriter Johnny Rain, but with the release of his second project, simply titled ‘EP1,’ that should all change soon.
Heck, we’re still getting to know him better ourselves after we first featured him only this past September with the release of his video for “Harveston Lake,” off his debut album 11.
The alt-R&B artist has now returned with another stellar body of work, boasting 6 original cuts, including only one feature from critical darling James Blake on lead single “Animosity/Dear Xodi.” If you have been patiently waiting for new music from Frank Ocean, or enjoy the buzzing sounds of Bryson Tiller, than you may find some new gold in Johnny. It’s clearly music to get lost to, and with winter here we don’t mind.
