While many listeners have only most recently heard of the name Popcaan due to the original version of Drake’s “Controlla,” the Vybz Kartel protege has been in the game for quite some time now collaborating with his now incarcerated mentor and many other Jamaica-based artists. “Only Man She Want” gave the young artist his first Billboard entry, spawned a remix featuring Busta Rhymes, and gave him a feature in The New York Times.
