We all know how much Drake loves Sade, well we all do, but now fans can hear what a collaboration between the two could potentially sounds like. On Saturday night (May 27), host Oliver El-Khatib opened the 44th episode of OVO Sound radio with the premiere of John McSwain aka DJ Vacations mash-up project, More Love. The EP consists of original mash-ups of Drake and Sade tracks.
Things started out with “Lover’s Smoke,” which mixes the rapper’s More Life track “Free Smoke” with the singer’s “Lovers Rock.” It was followed by “Gylaskin” (a mashup of “Gyalchester” and “Skin”), “Get It Together, Give It Up” (self explanatory), “Can’t Cherish Everything” (“Can’t Have Everything” and “Cherish the Day”), and “Never Thought I’d See the Passionfruit” (“Passionfruit” and “I Never Thought I’d See The Day”).
Vacations is a Brooklyn-based DJ/director/editor whose known for his easy-listening mixes, which include everyone from Jeremih, Sango, J Dilla, and Sade. He also DJs the regular Sade Night at Kinfolk. Following the premiere, he has now shared the project on Soundcloud, however his “Passionfruit” mix was taken down.
