SZA Opens Up About Finding Her Voice, Upcoming Album ‘Ctrl,’ Meeting Beyoncé & More

Fans will finally be receiving SZA‘s debut album, Ctrl, on June 9. Led by the singles, “Drew Barrymore” and “Love Galore” feat. Travis Scott, the singer/songwriter’s TDE/RCA Records debut has been a long time coming for sure.

With the album about a week away, SZA a.k.a Solána Imani Rowe, stopped by L.A.’s Real 92.3 for an interview on “Big Boy’s Neighborhood.”

During the lengthy conversation, the 26-year-old opened up about how she basically stumbled into becoming an artist, finding her voice and writing topics, and why she is still figuring it all out. Throughout the interview she gives further insight into her debut album Ctrl, working with T.D.E. (Kendrick Lamar, ScHoolboy Q), songwriting, meeting Beyoncé, and much more.
