Chris Brown Celebrates 40 RIAA Plaques in 2017

Chris Brown has racked up plaques on plaques on plaques this year. After releasing Heartbreak on a Full Moon, the R&B superstar has revealed that he earned 40 certifications from the Recording Industry Association of America in 2017 alone.

Taking to Twitter, he shared the big news. “40 PLAQUES THIS YEAR,” he wrote. “Today the RIAA released 23 more certified platinum and gold plaques that included 12 x multi platinum singles. 74.5 million single and album sales just in the US. #TEAMBREEZY.”

This includes new platinum rewards for “Run It!,” “Privacy,” “Yo (Excuse Me Miss),” “Forever,” “With You,” and “Grass Ain’t Greener,” among many other singles from his storied discography, which were presented in November, according to the RIAA.

His latest effort, a double album comprised of 45 songs, recently went gold after debuting at No. 3 on the Billboard 200.

It doesn’t look like his output will be diminished anytime soon. Recently, Breezy dropped “Sirens” and this week he previewed a Michael Jackson-inspired song.
