Listen: London Newcomer Amy Steele Releases New Single “Long Way Home”

By

Amy Steele is a singer/songwriter from London, and is fast becoming one of the capital’s most respected new talents. Amy Steele’s latest single, “Long Way Home,” is a soulful pop return from the newcomer.

The single sees Amy expressing her personal feelings as she explores separations. She explains that the song is about, “The slightly haunting feeling that a goodbye is definite and imminent but also a celebration of your connection and time together.”

“Until you I never believed in fate,” she sings. “But you and I are just two shapes of tessellate / Lately I’ve been feeling like you’re the only friend I need / Lets take the long way home.”

For the last five years Amy Steele has pursued music in tandem with studying for a degree in medicine. Having recently completed her degree, Dr. Steele has her sights firmly focused on her music.

With a growing fan base, her new eight track EP ‘Memories In Watercolour‘ is coming soon, and is perhaps her broadest, most ambitious project to date. Memories in Watercolour examines relationships, with each song representing a different stage.

With its upcoming release this is going to be an exciting year ahead for this hard-working, young artist and judging by her latest single “Long Way Home,” we can’t wait to hear it.
