By

“Use My Shoulder” – JoJo

“Use My Shoulder,” lifted from JoJo’s the self-titled album, follows the hit single “Leave (Get Out).” The track’s beat will grab your attention right away as it was sampled from the 1986 hit, “Happy,” by the R&B/soul group Surface.

“Island Life” – Janet Jackson

Another song on the “Damita Jo” album, “Island Life” turns up the pace a bit. You can’t help but bounce your head to this track created by super-producer Scott Storch, and Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis.

“Girl I Need” – Mario feat. Cham

This is another easy song to sing, and Mario partners with Jamaican artist Cham (formerly Baby Cham) for the Reggae-influenced track.

“Call My Name” – Prince

Prince shows off a beautiful falsetto, and some lower register vocals on “Call My Name.” He tells his love interest, “I just can’t stop writing songs about cha” and we’re thankful that he didn’t.

“Ain’t Gon’ Beg You” – Fantasia

Fantasia kicks off her first studio album, “Free Yourself,” with this track about being a strong woman, and not begging for a man’s attention. It had the potential to be another hit off of the album.
