Over recent years, R&B artists have steered away from only releasing music on certain days of the week. Since there’s always something new coming out, we know it’s sometimes difficult to stay updated on all things R&B.

Although we’re always here to give you day-by-day updates, we figured giving you a recap of some of the best R&B tracks and moments from the weekend’s past (and sometimes a little before) at the top of each week is a  great way for you to hear all the good stuff in one place. Some of the top R&B artists are releasing new music, doing interviews, and announcing plans for upcoming albums. Despite the unique times we are living in, 2020 has been amazing for our beloved genre.

Beyonce collaborates with Megan Thee Stallion on “Savage (remix)”

Beyonce has been gifting her fans with many surprises as of late. From her appearance on One World: Together At Home to her beautiful rendition of “When You Wish Upon a Star” on The Disney Family Singalong, the BeyHive are definitely feeling the love from the Queen Bey. Now, she has sent fans into a frenzy with the suprise release of her collaboration with fellow Houston native Megan Thee Stallion. The remix of the Tik Tok favorite is sure to help it reach higher heights on next week’s Billboard Hot 100 chart. Megan and Beyonce trade bars on the hit and Bey even shouts out her Mama Tina as the original savage. This is sure to be on every #HotGirlSummer playlist.

The Bonfyre releases new EP Love, Lust, & Let Downs: Chapter One


Rising R&B star The Bonfyre brings the heat on her new EP Love, Lust, & Let Downs: Chapter One. Kicking off with he Wale-assisted “U Remind Me,” the album is a journey from start to finish littered with many nods to 90’s R&B. The project also features collaborations with 6LACK and Marc E. Bassy. It’s definitely a must add to your quarantine playlist.

Victoria Monet invites us to take a “Dive”

2020 is  shaping up to be the year of Victoria Monet. The Apple “Artist to Watch” has dropped some of the best songs and visuals of the year. While known for writing hits for some of today’s biggest artist, she is definitely carving out her own lane to phenomenal results. Following the release of “A** Like That” and “Moments,” Monet has dropped her sexy new single “Dive.” The song is a celebration cunnilingus. This one is sure to have tongues wagging with all it’s tongue and cheek word play.

Rome Flynn drops new single “KMIM”

Rome Flynn has been wowing fans weekly with Viola Davis on ABC’s How To Get Away With Murder. With the show’s series finale soon approaching, Rome is refocusing his attention on his music. His new single is an acronym for “Keep Me In Mind.” On the smooth single, the singer lets his love interest know that he will still be there when the other guys leave. When that time comes, he just wants her to keep him in mind.

Samoht makes it known he is a “Sex God”

Vocal juggernaut Samoht is back with his catchy new single “Sex God.” Released without warning, the banger is the first taste of new music since his 2019 EXIT album. Sonically, the gritty, club banger is a welcome change of pace for the singer. Lyrically akin to his hits like Party Vibes and Starz/Cool, the song finds the crooner making it clear to his lover that his bedroom skills are second to none. This one is definitely a great start to his next era.
